Twitter Turned 6 Years Old Today
Follow RunyonCanyon_La on Twitter
The HUGE social mogul Twitter turned a whopping 6 years old today and it’s celebrating many years of success online. In case you’ve been living under a rock – you probably have a Twitter account along with the millions of others who are constantly following, Tweeting, re-Tweeting and going Twitter crazy on a daily basis – all with only 140 characters or less!
Twitter quickly changed the way we communicate and stay in touch with friends, family, loved ones and even promote business, events and products. Many have wrapped their life around this social media giant and have made a living from supplying apps & plugins to compliment it’s functionality and uses. Safely said, Twitter hosts it’s own economy and is at the forefront of ALL social medias. It’s come a very long way in 6 short years.
Some interesting facts about Twitter:
[dotlist]
- Twitter reached 500k users 1 year and a half after launching
- Twitter reached 1 billion tweets shortly after 3 years.
- Today Twitter easily has more than 250 million tweets per day.
