Another Runyon Canyon Celebrity Sighting

I got off work early and decided to head to the Outpost Lookout Point behind Runyon Canyon to watch the sunset with my wife. If you’ve ever been in the Hollywood Hills then you know how confusing those small roads can be at times. Being a typical man I am always a bit too proud to ask for directions but once we passed the same couple walking along the side of the road 3 different times we figured it was about that time to swallow my pride and ask for directions. My wife thought it a good idea to stop and ask the couple we had passed so many times in the last 15 minutes for directions and if you’ve ever been married then you know I had no choice but to agree with her. We pulled over the Prius, popped our heads out of the window and troubled the man in the low pulled baseball cap if we could trouble him for directions to the back of Runyon Canyon “You know, the lookout point right above the Hollywood Bowl?” I asked. Like a well seasoned Angeleno the man in the cap replied with quickness giving us PERFECT directions to the world-famous Outpost Lookout Point. About two sentences into his directions I realized “OH MY GOD….IT’S DEXTER!” And in fact – it was, Mr. Michael C. Hall – it was Dexter! After I realized who I was getting directions from I was far too distracted to even pay attention to what he was saying. Randomly walking in the Hollywood Hills behind Runyon Canyon was Michael C. Hall with a beautiful young lady by his side just enjoying the sunset as my wife and I had planned – it couldn’t have been more perfect. After rudely interrupting him with the obvious “OH MY GOD – IT’S YOU!” phrase to which he is probably no stranger, he and his date politely laughed and he continued with his directions to Runyon Canyon. I’ve always been a BIG fan of Michael C. Hall and meeting him in real life at Runyon Canyon was one of my biggest treats thus far – you don’t get to experience this every day and this sort of thing CAN ONLY HAPPEN IN HOLLYWOOD!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock – you definitely know Michael C. Hall and you DEFINITELY love him as much as we do. Although we were already super fans of Michael C. Hall – knowing that he enjoys Runyon Canyon as much as we do has just taken our Dexter addiction to the next level. Of course Michael C. Hall is the star of the SHOWTIME original series Dexter starring alongside Lauren Vélez and long-time Runyon Canyon fan & ex-wife Jennifer Carpenter. Dexter is about a lovable Miami police forensics expert moonlighting as a serial killer of criminals who he believes have escaped justice. But just in case you don’t have SHOWTIME you’ll probably know Michael C. Hall from some of his other work in titles such as: Six Feet Under with co-stars Frances Conroy and Peter Krause or you may even know him from Gamer with co-stars Ludacris and long time Runyon Canyon Fan Gerard Butler. If you’re a super fan of Michael C. Hall like we are then you already know about the new season of Dexter coming out after the summer, you’ll also be able to catch Michael C. Hall in some other new titles like Kill Your Darlings starring himself, Daniel Radcliffe and Dane DeHaan. I’m sure Michael will be just as amazing in this movie as he has been in EVERYTHING else he has ever touched.
Although this is the first time I’ve spotted Michael C. Hall at Runyon Canyon – I’m sure we will see him again soon. It’s my great pleasure to add Michael C. Hall as a Runyon Canyon Fan and know that he uses the park to stay in shape and stay looking great just like we do. Michael if you ever come across this post I’d like to say thank you for the directions to the Runyon Canyon Outpost and I’d also like to come hiking with you at Runyon Canyon some time so let us know the next time you’re in the neighborhood.
