Runyon Canyon Dog Park
Runyon Canyon Park is a great place to reconnect with your favorite four-legged friend thanks to a large 90 acre off-leash dog park. Runyon Canyon Park is home to one of the largest off-leash dog parks in the city, providing visitors of Runyon Canyon with a great place to let their dogs run wild. The park also features a children’s play area, dogs are not permitted in the children’s park. If you’re planning to bring your dog to the off-leash park at Runyon Canyon, please remember to bring bags for cleaning up after your pet. The park is unstaffed and it is the responsibility of pet owners to clean up after their four-legged friends and keep the area clean for other visitors.

The History of Runyon Canyon:
A Brief Overview: Purchased in 1964 by the city of Los Angeles from Adad Development, the 160-acre park is in the heart of Hollywood and managed by the Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation. Runyon Canyon has only 3 entrances: (1) The Southern Entrance – Fuller Avenue (2) The Western Entrance – North Vista Street and (3) The Northern Entrance – Mulholland Drive. Runyon Canyon has it’s own street called Runyon Canyon Road that winds through the park and connects Fuller Avenue to Mulholland Drive. Runyon Canyon is open 7 days week from dusk till dawn, offers on-street parking and includes an off-leash dog policy not to mention hiking, amazing scenery and free yoga class held daily.

Directions to Runyon Canyon: From the 101 – take the Hollywood & Highland, take a right on Franklin Ave or Hollywood Blvd, take a right on Fuller Ave. and Park – enter the Fuller Ave. entrance.
Parking at Runyon Canyon: Runyon Canyon offers tons of on the street parking with little to no permit parking. Monday and Tuesday are street cleaning days on Fuller Ave. and Hillside Ave as well as Franklin Ave.. Please pay attention to the street signs to avoid violations that will cost you an expensive parking ticket.

Runyon Canyon Park Hours: Runyon Canyon is open from dawn till dusk, the park entrances are usually closed when the sun goes down.
