Can I take my bike on the BART?
During non-commute hours, bikes are allowed on all trains except the first car or any crowded car. During commute hours (7:00 to 9:00 AM and 4:30 to 6:30 PM, weekdays), bikes are not allowed in the first three cars of any train. Bicycles must be walked in pedestrian areas in and around BART stations.

Bike cars are always the cab cars—located on the northernmost end of the train—and 1-2 cars in the middle of the train set. It’s easiest to wait for the train at the northern end of the platform; this ensures a short distance to the cab car once the train arrives.
