Pay & perks: I hear lot of people say IBM pays nothing more than a peanut, it is true to some extent. They pay you better when you join, no perks or hikes later.

IBM is not recommended if you are joining as a fresher. The opportunity to grow within the organization being a fresher and working at the most lower band is minimal. Exceptions can happen – ‘You are lucky if you get a good lead and manager’ You don’t get any perks for your hardwork.
